Commonwealth House is clearly different - but don't take our word for it, read about it in the many positive thoughts left by our happy and satisfied families
"A very nice small assisted living for folks who want a home-like environment. Owners are a husband and wife who take excellent care of their residents and their staff. Would recommend for anyone who wants personalized care for an elderly loved one instead of a large institution."
"I highly recommend Commonwealth House Assisted Living to anyone who is looking for a small-scaled way of living with all the comforts of home. So if you are looking for an assisted living community where you are truly cared for and more than just a number, than this is definitely the assisted living home for you. Owners Graham and Mandi went far beyond what anyone could have expected when we made the decision to move our mom from her home to the Commonwealth House. We honestly thought it was too good to be true to have found such a place for our mom to go after living at her own home for over 50 years. Graham and Mandi have left no detail unturned when it comes to the property- both inside and out. They want every one of their residents to feel like they are living in their own homes with the added piece of mind knowing they are surrounded by a qualified, professional caring staff that treat them as if they were their own family members. Graham and Mandi are remarkable owners who are extremely hands on and attentive to each resident’s care, happiness and overall well being. Even in these most trying times, they have gone above and beyond in keeping the residents connected with their families while ensuring the highest degree of health and safety of every resident."
"If you are looking for a homelike atmosphere, with personalized care in a beautiful home and a close knit community, then you will love the Commonwealth House. As a medical professional, I wanted to help my mom to feel as independent as she could while still getting the amount of care that she needed. I also wanted her to have socialization and activities that matched her lifestyle that she had been used to when she was living on her own. She loved living at The Commonwealth House. She built relationships with the staff as well as the other residents and really felt a part of the House. I lost my mom in April to her failing heart. But I have so many fond memories of my mom enjoying her time with her friends and second family at Commonwealth House I am so happy we found the Commonwealth House in Warwick."
"Commonwealth House is great. Mandi and Graham care for everyone as family and they provide a home atmosphere that makes Commonwealth a rare treasure and comfort during times that can be difficult and challenging. Excellence at this level only happens through vision and commitment, and Commonwealth House clearly has it, offering a heartfelt and expert touch to make life good for those who make their home here. They go the extra mile, with a thoughtfulness that is uncommon, and with a careful and well-informed approach to each person's needs and circumstances."
"After comparing many facilities the Commonwealth house became my first choice. And in addition to that their attention to the details of his medical needs is amazing. I know he is safe and in the best of hands. If I am in the situation where I need to be in a similar environment I will go there without a doubt."
"I love that Commonwealth House is a small facility because it really feels like a home and everyone gets to really know one another. I cannot recommend Commonwealth highly enough and am grateful a place like this exists for my family."
"My step-father is thriving here because it is not a "Warehouse" as he would put it...His health is improving by the day due to the healthy meals and medication supervision that he receives at Commonwealth House. I very much enjoy visiting him here as the staff are very welcoming and friendly."
"Clean, inviting house with excellent staff. You couldn't ask for more from an assisted living facility. Highly recommend. Commonwealth House (owner)"
"Everyone went out of their way to make the move to Commonwealth House as seamless as possible. Mandi offered to email while we were away - this was great for me and my mother to get the latest from us. Mom loved seeing Turtle (their dog) - just another "home touch" to Commonwealth House. All of our interactions have been positive - a perfect solution to short term or long term care needs."
"The staff is very attentive to the needs of each resident and goes to great lengths to insure their comfort, happiness and security during their stay. The house is so close that I am able to visit almost daily and have been invited many times to stay and enjoy dinner with the residents. I am grateful to have found a place where my sister can engage with others and not be isolated. Commonwealth House is a wonderful home for your loved one."
"So happy that I discovered Commonwealth House for my mother. She had lived in another Assisted Living Facility, but due to it’s size, it lacked the personal care, attention and social contact that the elderly need and deserve. Commonwealth House staff all show compassion and empathy, as well as top notch care that has made a difference in the quality of my mothers life. And the smaller size makes it feel so much more like home. So grateful that this new form of senior living has made its way to Rhode Island!"
"My mom stayed here for a month when I was traveling. She loved it and they took wonderful care of her. She made friends with other residents. I would completely recommend this facility, because it is more like a home than a facility. This is what assisted living should be not a building that you could mistake for a cruise ship."
"Great staff. Very caring. Beautiful home with great inside and outdoor spaces. Attentive owners and top quality health care professionals. Excellent food as well."
"Commonwealth House is a little gem nestled in a residential neighborhood in Warwick. My husband just happened upon it one day as he was in the neighborhood and told me about it. My sister who suffers from early onset Alzheimers was staying with us when we learned about the Commonwealth House and decided to take a tour. We were immediately greeted with a warm and engaging owner and staff and were impressed by the cleanliness and quaint living arrangements that offer two common rooms with "cushy" furniture, fire places and large screen TV's (for movie nights). The kitchen is a place where residents gather and to sit and converse, share stories and play cards and various other games. Chef Adam is a delight, funny and entertaining, you can tell that he really loves the residents and they love his cooking! Many of the rooms overlook a large backyard with a swimming pool and cabana, tennis court, and large patio for the outside activities and barbecuing. The staff is very attentive to the needs of each resident and goes to great lengths to insure their comfort, happiness and security during their stay. The house is so close that I am able to visit almost daily and have been invited many times to stay and enjoy dinner with the residents. I am grateful to have found a place where my sister can engage with others and not be isolated. Commonwealth House is a wonderful home for your loved one."
